Finally my website is up and running again! It's been down for a while but now it's fixed! We're gonna celebrate this with a new Dubious Quip song which I will post later today or tomorrow! Free to download of course! Stay tuned!!

We build this weird thing to make the air spread in the room.

We hanged these things up to prevent sound reflections from the ceiling.

So this is where I'll be working from now on...

What's goin on...

As I said before I'm back in Sweden now and I've been building my studio here... it's almost ready now! I've already started to do some work in it.

The reason you haven't heard from me in a while is that I've also been working as a sound engineer on a movie production lately. The movie will be shown on cinemas sometime next spring.

I write a lot of music right now so get ready for some serious stuff soon!

I've now moved back to Sweden and I'll hopefully soon have time to start recording some music again. But first thing first.. I've started to set up my studio and as always when you start to do something everything takes longer than expected... I promise I'll put something out as soon as I got music ready!

The Gig!

I've just played my first gig ever as Dubious Quip! It was a nice little gig in Norrtälje by the riverside... It all went well and the audience was really great! Thank you all! Right now I'm sitting on the night bus back to Stockholm... Want to sleeeep... ZZZZzzzzz.....

As you all might have noticed I'm not very active on my blog right now... that's because I'm soooo busy! I'm gonna move back to Sweden in one week so there's a lot of stuff to take care of... and my internet connection will stop working at the end of this week so don't worry if you don't hear from me for a while...

This week has been a good week... have worked on some tracks that starting to sound alright and today I've started to set up a merchandise shop which I will upload on my website tomorrow! so don't miss this!

Lovely Sunday...

Man this has been a lovely sunday! (and still is...) been hanging out in Greenwich park... had a few beers and now it's time to light up the barbecue!!
If you wonder how it's going with the music I can tell you that it's progressing... looks like it's going to be more songs than for just another EP... right now I have 9 songs half done! and I'm really happy with the sound on them at the moment... I'll be working more on them in the upcoming week but right now I'm just gonna reeeelax...

A while ago when my inspiration wasn't on top and I couldn't come up with any songs I recorded a cover version of Bob Marley's song Soul Rebel... More music in production!

Now that the "Acoustic demo" is out I've started to work on my next project... currently I'm working on the songs on the Acoustic demo to release more produced versions of the songs... some of them will sound quite different from how they sounded on the EP... better or worse? I don't know... it will be up to you to decide as soon as I'll release it... which, if everything goes as planned, will be in the middle of june! I've put together a little inspiration playlist which I'll share with you in the upcoming week... see ya'll later!

Back in business...

I've had a nice holiday for two weeks... been in my sweet home country Sweden visiting some friends and family...

But now it's time again to start work on some music... in the upcoming weeks I plan to release some acoustic versions of songs that I'm gonna put on an EP that will see the light of day later this spring or summer...

Another one of my very talented friends!

He has recently released an EP that I got hold of the other day... And it is totally worth checking out! The songs have really nice atmosphere and weird, but wonderful, rhythms... and it's all crowned with his own unique style of playing the guitar! reeeeaaally nice!

The first track ("Puzzle") and the third track ("Whatever was") are my favourites on this nice EP...

If you at all trust my musical senses you should check out Ulf Ljusberg straight away! and don't forget to watch out for him in the future... for I'm sure there is more to come...

Mr D has been gone for way toooo long now... the rumour has it that there is an album on the way that is going to be called "James River"... but that rumour has been around for like 1 - 2 years now so I don't know... his "Voodoo" album is one of the best albums ever made so I really hope that there is some work going on... all the most recent news you find about him is only about trials and drugs and so on...

Recording in a flat can be a difficult task!

Everything is done... all the instruments are recorded and I am really excited about singing the lyrics on this track I'm working on... so I start building a small vocal booth and setting up the microphone... and when I'm ready to press record, what happens?

Some motherf#%#&er starts drilling in the house next to mine! #%¤#%&¤%&&&#""#/&"!!!!!!!!

....This is the price one have to pay sometimes for not having a real studio to record in... one day... one day...

Moving slowly is better than not moving at all...

I have not been writing here for about a week... sorry about that...

At least I've been working on some music lately... right now I'm working on a cover song which I will not reveal the title of until I'm finnished... I want to keep you hungry! :)

I found it to be a good way of keeping up the playing and recording and stuff to work on cover songs... it makes me not loosing track of how to produce music in the way I want to...

So be patient! things are slowly starting move over here...

The candy consists of a pair of Tannoy Reveal 5A speakers, the monitor stands on a Motu Traveler soundcard and just under that you see my Akai MPK49 keyboard... to the left of the mouse and computer keyboard is my Focusrite Liquid Mix and under the table you see the computer and a Rig Kontrol 2 for Native Instrument Guitar Rig... I also have two Rode microphones, an acoustic guitar and a bass guitar...

so I have all the right kind of weapons to be able to create something beautiful out of all the music I have in my head... except for one thing... the creativity... the most important weapon! but that you can't buy for money!

so if someone finds my creativity somewhere promise to give it back to me... because I need it!
